I graduated from Brooks Institute School of Photography (Santa Barbara,
CA) in 1973. While completing my studies at Brooks, I worked as a photo essayist and sports photographer at the Santa Barbara News Press.
Upon returning to my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA I spent three years in an apprenticeship at the Jim Pappariello Studio (a commercial studio) in downtown Pittsburgh. This prepared me to open my own full-service studio
Rocky Raco Photography in Pittsburgh.
After 40 successful years in the business, I now focus on commercial, architectural and industrial photography. In recent years I've traveled up and down the East Coast working on a number of assignments to capture large commercial construction projects in New York City, Miami and parts in between.
